I stand behind my work. This page is exactly what that means, in writing: what the warranty covers, what it honestly does not, and how to make a claim if you ever need to. The same words below are printed into every proposal before any work starts, so you know the terms before you spend a dollar. I'm Martin, the owner, and this warranty is honored by me directly.
Plenty of painters say "guaranteed work" and leave it at that. Here is the plain-English version of mine, and the formal terms are right below it, word for word.
If paint peels, blisters, or fails because of how I prepped or applied it, that is on me. I come back and repair the affected area at no charge for labor and materials.
The full warranty text is printed into your proposal, the same document you sign. Not a verbal promise, not a line on a business card. If it isn't written down, it isn't a warranty.
No pointing you at the paint manufacturer, no claims hotline. You text or email me, I come look at it, and I fix it. The person who painted your house is the person who stands behind it.
A warranty that claims to cover everything covers nothing. Mine excludes things like structural settling, storms, and water intrusion, and the full list is spelled out below so there are no surprises later.
This is the exact text that appears in every Pineapple Cove proposal and signed agreement.
Thank you for choosing Pineapple Cove Painting Company. We take pride in delivering quality workmanship and using premium coatings designed for Florida's climate. We stand behind our work with the following warranty:
Pineapple Cove Painting Company warrants its workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of project completion.
If peeling, blistering, or paint failure occurs as a direct result of improper surface preparation or application performed by Pineapple Cove Painting Company during the warranty period, we will repair the affected area at no charge for labor and materials.
To obtain warranty service, the property owner must notify Pineapple Cove Painting Company in writing within the warranty period and provide reasonable access for inspection and repair.
This warranty is limited to the repair of affected areas and does not include consequential or incidental damages.
Thank you for trusting Pineapple Cove Painting Company with your home.
The excluded items all have one thing in common: they are things paint cannot control. If your foundation settles and the stucco cracks, no coating on earth prevents that. If a hurricane drives water behind a wall, that is a water problem, not a paint problem. And every paint fades some over years of Florida sun, which is why I use coastal-rated Sherwin-Williams systems that fade slowest, not why I promise fading will never happen.
One more honest note: manufacturer defects in the paint itself are excluded from my workmanship warranty because the manufacturer covers those under its own product warranty. If that rare case ever comes up, I help you deal with Sherwin-Williams rather than leaving you to figure it out alone.
What I will never do is use an exclusion to dodge a prep failure. Peeling and blistering caused by the work itself is exactly what this warranty exists for, and that call gets made honestly, in person, looking at your wall together.
No claims department, no forms in triplicate. Here is the whole process.
Text (772) 325-1623 or email info@pineapplecovepaintingco.com within the warranty period. A photo of the area helps but is not required.
We set a time, I inspect the area in person, and I tell you straight whether it is a workmanship issue the warranty covers, and why or why not.
If it is covered, I repair the affected area at no charge for labor and materials. Same standard of prep and paint as the original job.
Workmanship. If peeling, blistering, or paint failure shows up as a direct result of improper surface preparation or application performed by Pineapple Cove Painting Company, within five years of project completion, I repair the affected area at no charge for labor and materials. The warranty is written into your proposal before any work starts and is honored by Pineapple Cove Painting Company directly, not pushed onto the paint manufacturer.
Things paint cannot control: structural movement or settling, cracks from expansion or foundation movement, water intrusion and sprinkler damage, storms and other acts of nature, mold and mildew, damage from impact or alterations by others, normal weathering and fading over time, and manufacturer defects in the paint itself, which are handled by the manufacturer. The full exclusions list is printed on this page and in every proposal, word for word.
Notify Pineapple Cove Painting Company in writing within the warranty period. A text or an email to the number or address on this site counts, photos help but are not required. Then allow reasonable access so I can inspect the area and make the repair. You deal with me directly, the same person who painted the house, not a claims department.
